Equifind are supporting a small Insurance firm, who are very steady and have a fantastic reputation in hiring a qualified Financial Controller/ Head of Finance to join the company. Based by Bank, London City.
You will manage a team of two and report in to the CEO (The former CFO). They are in the office 4 days a week in the main and are looking for someone who wants to grow in to that Finance Director position over the next two years or so, which would increase responsibility and put you in to the senior leadership meetings.
The RoleYou’ll be leading a small but experienced and lovely team in tightening up the month-end process, and making sure the management accounts are polished, consistent, and presentation-ready for senior leadership. There’s plenty of project work, FP&A and strategic involvement for someone who wants more than just BAU.
- Owning day-to-day control and month-end
- Managing and developing junior team members
- Producing clean, reliable management accounts each month and presenting to C-Suite
- Leading budgeting, forecasting & financial modelling
- Driving process improvements and strengthening controls
- Supporting strategic and commercial finance projects
- Partnering with leadership across business
- Supporting ad hoc analysis
- Strong audit foundation: ACA / CA / ACCA preferred
- FCA regulated environment preferred
- Excellent statutory accounts and technical accounting experience
- Solid budgeting and forecasting
£80-90k base
