Graduate Accountant – Equifind (Financial Services)

Equifind is representing a Financial Services firm based in Bank, City of London, who are looking to hire a Graduate Accountant. The firm has a leading position in the financial services sector globally. This role offers a competitive market‑based salary and full ACA study support.

The position can start immediately. The right candidate will be able to start and interview on short notice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data reporting to insurers: Provide regulatory and accounting information to insurers.
  • Insurance pool accounting records: Maintain ledger records to ensure proper, complete, and accurate accounting records for pools.
  • KPI information: Prepare information for quarterly Key Performance Indicators produced for pool members under the supervision of the Pool Finance Accountant.
  • Support for the Finance team: Undertake ad‑hoc tasks and projects, including Excel systems development or enhancement. Tools used will be Excel, Power Query, SQL, and VBA.
  • Treasury: Training in the treasury function to provide cover for the Treasury Operations Manager, complementing the job‑holder’s accountancy training.

Application Criteria

  • Excellent academic background in a numeracy, business or science subject.
  • Ideally from a Russell Group/Red Brick University (not mandatory).
  • Ambition to pursue the ACA qualification.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills; expected to become an advanced user in the first few months.
  • Interest in coding; SQL is used to extract data from systems, Power BI and VBA to automate tasks.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑growing environment.
  • Good communication and problem‑solving skills.
