Equifind are working with a boutique early stage venture fund based in Soho who are looking to hire a Fund Finance Analyst to join the team. As a bit of background into the business, they focus on technology businesses, consumer and FMCG brands across the UK, Europe and the US and have roughly $500m AUM. They work by investing early stage with the exit strategy of an IPO or a sale to a strategic investor.
You will be working in a small, close knit and collaborative team, offering exposure to the venture capital industry and direct interaction with investors and portfolio companies making it a brilliant role to get stuck into a first move from audit.
What will you be doing?
Investor relations:
- Preparing and distributing investor valuation statements
- Communicating with investors to address queries and provide portfolio updates
- Managing investor expectations by keeping them informed on fund performance, including comparisons against benchmarks
Fund Management:
- Tracking performance of portfolio companies and using this data to perform biannual fund valuations
- Working alongside fund administrators to ensure quarter-end procedures are completed accurately
- Calculating NAVs, management fees, and performance fees in line with fund structures and performance
- Collaborating with external auditors to complete fund audits, adhering to both UK GAAP and US GAAP
- Performing fund reconciliations in line with CASS regulations
Finance:
- Assisting with regular FCA reporting and preparing monthly CMAR submissions
- Supporting the preparation of budgets, cash flow forecasts, monthly management accounts, and internal financial reports
- Working with our outsourced accountants to review and prepare annual financial statements
Application criteria:
- ACA/ACCA or CIMA recently qualified
- Have experience, or able to demonstrate an interest within venture capital
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast growing environment
- Strong communication skills
