Equifind has partnered with a tech-focused VC fund to hire a newly qualified accountant into a Fund Accountant role.

Based in Mayfair, this long-established venture partner is on the brink of launching their sixth and biggest fund to date. They are in growth mode and looking for someone with a similar mindset. The new fund will focus on investing in European and North American healthtech companies at the Pre-Seed, Seed, Series A, and Series B stages.

Reporting to the Finance Director, this newly created position will directly contribute to the overall success of the business and play an integral role in managing the activities of the Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP / IFRS / LUX GAAP (depending on fund structure).
  • Calculate NAVs and investor allocations.
  • Process capital calls and distributions, and prepare related notices for LPs.
  • Maintain capital account statements and ensure investor reporting is accurate and timely.
  • Support the quarterly investment valuation process, working with internal teams and third-party valuation providers.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation and methodology for portfolio company valuations.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate the year-end audit and tax compliance processes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and operational procedures.
  • Prepare reports and respond to queries from internal stakeholders, including investment and operations teams.
  • Support fundraising efforts by providing financial inputs and investor reporting data as needed.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with FCA or other relevant fund regulatory requirements.

Package and Benefits:

  • Base salary of up to £65,000.
  • Target bonus of around 20%.
  • Carried interest in their latest fund.
  • 27 days annual leave.

  • Flexible WFH policy, though they prefer the new hire to be in the office at least 3 days per week while getting up to speed.

Application Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience at a fund manager or in practice working with similar clients.
  • Advanced-level Excel skills and an interest in learning SQL, VBA or Python.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent report writing and able to confidently liaise with a range of stakeholders.
  • Proven stakeholder management experience and relationship building skills.
