Equifind is working with a well-established and massively growing Hedge Fund to secure a Fund Accountant due to growth in the fund/team.
The role involves:
- Acquiring knowledge of fund structures and covering a breadth of financial markets and instruments.
- Joining a high calibre, stable team, and reporting into the head of fund accounting.
- Working closely with the fund administrators to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of fund NAV and reporting.
- Oversight of the monthly, quarterly, and yearly NAV process.
- Calculation and overview of management fees and performance fees.
- Ensuring fund budget and expenses are in line with fund documents and expectations, and that payments are approved and processed.
- Preparing GAAP adjustments, cash flows, distributions, and liquidity forecasts.
- Dealing with investor requests.
- Supporting the valuation and audit process for the funds.
- Managing relationships with various stakeholders, including Legal, Compliance, and Investor Relations.
- Assisting with wider projects, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Engaging in process improvement, automation, and ad hoc projects.
The firm is incredibly efficiency-focused, and you will have autonomy to manage process improvement/automation projects (they are currently developing some data visualization tools), working directly with their market-leading tech team. This team has a lot of visibility across the senior leadership and investment team, so it is important to have excellent attention to detail and be confident presenting to a variety of stakeholders.
For this newly created fund accounting position, we are looking for qualified accountants with 2-3 years PQE. It is important to have knowledge of complex financial instruments and exposure to working in a hedge fund or on hedge fund/Real estate funds for the lending product experience. Any exposure to VBA/SQL/Python is highly desirable.
The firm is looking to pay between £80-£90k depending on experience along with a substantial bonus and considerable year-on-year increases.
