Equifind have partnered with a boutique accounting and advisory firm based in London's Mayfair to recruit a Financial Reporting Manager to lead their accounting team and take ownership of key client relationships. This fast-growing firm offers a brilliant opportunity for someone who wants to work closely with the partnership group and have real influence over how the business is run. It’s ideal for an experienced manager with ambitions to truly progress in the coming years, with the possible of Partnership very much on the table. The firm has a distinct market offering and an impressive client base, ranging from private equity–backed businesses to publicly listed companies across Europe and North America.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of qualified and part-qualified accountants.
- Advise on changes in accounting standards and make sure the firm and clients remain fully compliant.
- Review management accounts, statutory accounts, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Act as the main escalation point for complex technical accounting issues.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and other relevant reporting standards.
- Maintain strong governance and control across all client deliverables.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and consistency.
- Coach and develop team members, supporting their professional growth.
- Liaise directly with clients, building trusted long-term relationships.
About You
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA).
- Strong technical accounting background with solid IFRS knowledge.
- Proven management experience, ideally within business services or outsourced finance.
- Thorough understanding of month-end and financial reporting processes.
- Experience with PLC clients or similar structures is advantageous.
- Confident communicator with strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Commercially minded with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
