Equifind have recently partnered with a fast paced acquisitive SME Crypto Investment Brokerage firm based in the City of London. The firm has .c. 30 in total headcount globally and in London and this Financial Controller reports directly into the CFO and has one report. They are in the office 3 to 4 days per week.
The RoleThe role has a direct report of a PQ financial Analyst who is mainly focused on Accounts payables, payments and various finance tasks.
Prepare accounting journals and manage the firm\’s booking software (Iplicit)
Lead on system improvements
Manage month end process including management accounts preparation
Review and update accounting policies
Assist the CFO with financial modelling (budgeting, forecasting)
Monthly commissions calculations for sales consultants and resellers
VAT returns preparation and submissions to HMRC
Managing the accounts payable process with the assistance of the PQ Financial Analyst.
Treasury management (make sure that the company is fully funded every month)
Assist with FCA regulatory reporting
Management of yearly audit process
>Ad hoc projects for CEO/CFO as requested
Application Criteria
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) 5– years PQE+
Happy working in the office 3 to 4 days a week – could be flexibility medium term
Strength of hands on bookkeeping, financial reporting, control and management accounts
Process improvement/automation mindset
Previous experience of working in regulated environment a plus
A people person who enjoys interacting with others and leading with a hands on approach
Willingness to get involved in the detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Compensation
Base salary of £80,000-85,000 (DOE), might be some flex here
