Equifind is partnering with a boutique European real estate fund manager in the City to recruit a newly created Fund Controller: FP&A & Portfolio Finance role. With a strong deal pipeline heading into 2026, the business is investing ahead of growth and has created a new role spanning Fund Control, Portfolio Management and FP&A. This would be an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with a strong grounding in reporting and fund operations, who is keen to broaden their remit into more commercial aspects of finance and asset management. The position offers broad exposure across fund operations, asset-level performance and commercial analysis, and would suit someone who enjoys working in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the financial management of multiple real estate funds, SPVs, and investment structures across Europe.
  • Support the CFO in the development of a new FP&A capability for the platform, creating tools, models, and processes from the ground up.
  • Support senior leadership with commercial insights, board materials, and investor presentations.
  • Build forward-looking financial models to support fundraising, capital deployment, and strategic decision-making.
  • Review and challenge asset-level financials, valuations, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Partner with investment and asset management teams to analyse deal performance, sensitivities, and portfolio-level returns.
  • Produce budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis for both fund-level and corporate-level planning.

Application Requirements

  • Qualified chartered accountant.
  • Ideally 2–5 years’ post-qualification experience within a similar real estate investment platform.
  • Strong understanding of fund structures.
  • Experience in fund reporting and managing third-party service providers.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic and international environment.
  • Strategic mindset with strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills.
