Equifind is partnering with a fast-growing, consumer-focused business looking to appoint an Accounts Payable Supervisor to take ownership of its AP function and support a high-performing finance team within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a scaling business where finance plays a key role in supporting growth, operational efficiency and strong financial controls. The role would suit someone who enjoys improving processes, working across teams and taking ownership within a hands-on environment.
Reporting into the Financial Controller, responsibilities will include:
- Accounts Payable
- Ownership of the end-to-end Accounts Payable process
- Processing and reviewing supplier invoices, ensuring correct coding and approvals
- Supplier onboarding and maintaining accurate supplier records
- Reconciliation of supplier statements and resolution of discrepancies
- Preparation and execution of payment runs
- Acting as a key point of contact for suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Maintaining strong financial controls and ensuring process compliance
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency
- Month-End & Reporting
- Supporting the month-end close process and reporting deadlines
- Preparing accruals and journals
- Balance sheet reconciliations including bank accounts, expenses and key control accounts
- Ensuring AP balances are complete and accurate at period end
- Supporting ad hoc reporting and financial analysis
About You
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable
- Strong Excel skills including lookups, pivot tables and formulas
- Organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple deadlines
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Exposure to month-end processes and reconciliations would be advantageous
- Experience within hospitality, retail, FMCG, consumer or high-volume environments is desirable
