Equifind have partnered with a prestigious Infrastructure Fund based in Liverpool Street, London, in search of an Accounts Assistant. Due to the size of the company, there is so much to learn and be exposed to. They have nearly no staff turnover and offer a great career. Long term they see this as the ideal training ground for someone with up-to-1-years' experience, who would like to continue studying towards their ACCA/CIMA exams; and ultimately become a qualified accountant for the business. The Role:

  • Manage accounts payable invoices and payments.
  • Processing corporate employee's expenses through an expense management system.
  • Monitoring the group cash position.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Month-end accounting, including updating quarter-end working papers.
  • Posting month-end journals (fixed assets, depreciation, prepayments, accruals).
  • VAT returns.
  • Recharges.
  • Processing monthly payroll.
  • Monitoring and reconciliation of the intercompany balances.
  • Assisting with audit process for year-end.
  • Ad-hoc projects.

Application Criteria:

  • Ideally part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA) or at least taken some exams post exemptions.
  • Have an ambition or real desire to pursue the CIMA or ACCA qualification.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-growing environment.
  • Confident in dealing with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ideally intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V-Look Up, SumIf).
  • Willing to be part of a team and engage with others.

Compensation:

The Permanent Accounts Assistant role working for this Liverpool Street based leading Infrastructure Fund will be paid a competitive market-based salary and will offer:
