Equifax is where you can power your possible. If you want to achieve your true potential, chart new paths, develop new skills, collaborate with bright minds, and make a meaningful impact, we want to hear from you.
The Product Manager for the Direct to Consumer (D2C) team is primarily tasked with driving product innovation, market expansion, and user engagement within our consumer-facing portfolio. This is achieved through a focused approach on understanding consumer needs, conceptualizing new offerings, and meticulously planning and executing the launch of high-impact D2C products.
As a key Product Manager within the Consumer Solutions team, you will champion the delivery of high-value, intuitive consumer propositions. You will operate at the intersection of business, technology, and user experience, collaborating directly with design and technology teams to deliver continuous, iterative improvements across the entire product lifecycle. A central component of this role is the seamless execution and strategic integration of proprietary Equifax consumer data, ensuring individuals can enrich their financial literacy and experience a secure, highly relevant consumer journey.
What you will do
- Product Strategy & Stakeholder Collaboration: Own and execute the product roadmap for your designated D2C product area, ensuring alignment with Equifax's broader overarching objectives and revenue targets. Actively collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Marketing, Legal, Compliance, and Sales), translating complex product vision into clear business value. Navigate and resolve conflicting priorities among stakeholders by driving data-informed decisions and maintaining a relentless focus on the consumer. Conduct comprehensive research on consumer behaviours, market trends, and competitive landscapes to guide the product direction for Equifax’s personal finance, credit monitoring, and ID & fraud offerings.
- Agile Delivery & Squad Leadership: Run your product initiatives effectively using an Agile/Squad model, ensuring tight alignment and autonomy across your cross-functional team. Champion core Agile rituals including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure a predictable, high-velocity delivery cadence. Influence and partner deeply with Technology and Engineering functions to remove blockers, manage technical debt, and ensure architectural decisions support the product vision. Drive regular, iterative improvements and continuous discovery/delivery practices from initial ideation and MVP launch to scaling and sunsetting. Monitor rigorous product OKRs (e.g., active users, retention, conversion rates, LTV), utilising rapid A/B testing and growth loops to continuously optimise the consumer journey.
- Mentorship & Team Impact: Motivate and inspire your squad by connecting their daily work to a compelling product vision and the tangible impact on consumers' financial lives. Act as a mentor to more junior product managers or cross-functional team members, helping them navigate challenges and develop their product sense.
What experience you need
- Proven track record in D2C: Demonstrable prior experience in building and scaling products in a fast-growth Direct-to-Consumer space, with a preference for backgrounds in Fintech or Financial Services environments.
- Product Leadership: Solid experience in a PM or Lead PM role, with a proven ability to drive complex product initiatives from concept to widespread consumer adoption.
- Agile/Squad Mastery: Deep, hands-on experience running Agile squads. Proven ability to influence engineering and technology functions and a strong mastery of Agile methodologies (sprints, stand-ups, retros).
- Bachelor's degree and/or related Product Management experience, including demonstrated experience: Running advanced product roadmaps, release cycles, and overseeing team delivery timelines in a high-stakes, regulated environment. Developing tailored product pitches and presenting strategies to leadership and key decision-makers. Being held accountable to and delivering on product OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) at the product line level.
- Strong technical proficiencies related to data-driven product platforms: Familiarity/Proficiency with product analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel, Google Analytics) to translate consumer behaviour into actionable insights. Proficiency in BI tools like Tableau or PowerBI to visualise product performance and ROI. Strong conceptual grasp of API-driven delivery to lead technical implementation discussions with engineering teams.
