The UK Privacy, Risk and Compliance team, part of the Global Privacy & Compliance team, is responsible for supporting the business in complying with both regulatory requirements and expectations, and the principles and standards set out by Equifax. This is a 12-month secondment/FTC opportunity for either a P2 (Compliance Consultant) or P3 (Compliance Business Partner), reporting directly to the Compliance Director.
You will provide regulatory oversight across Equifax, with responsibility for providing compliance advice to key stakeholders and conducting monitoring to ensure we are compliant with Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) requirements. This is an exciting opportunity with a broad remit that can be based in our London, Leeds, Nottingham or Wexford offices.

What you’ll do:
- Provide regulatory advice and guidance to our UK business focusing on the direct to consumer (D2C) business ‘Consumer Solutions’, Open Banking, Complaints, Consumer Product Development, Marketing, Sales and Transformation programmes.
- Support the development of the UK mandatory compliance induction and annual training.
- Provide input into the Compliance Risk Universe and Monitoring Plan, taking a lead on Compliance Monitoring reviews to identify areas of risk and support the business in finding effective solutions.
- Raise conduct and compliance risk awareness.
- Support the Compliance Director and wider leadership team with queries or issues raised by the FCA, ICO or other relevant regulators.
What experience you need:
- Strong compliance experience (or equivalent) working in an FCA regulated environment.
- Good knowledge of Financial Services - such as Consumer Credit, Banking & Insurance.
- Strong understanding of FCA requirements including Consumer Duty, PRIN, COND, DISP, CONC and SYSC; the ability to apply these pragmatically and in the context of business risk.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of conduct and/or regulatory risk, particularly with regards to controls/MI/governance, business strategy, product lifecycle, policies and defining risk metrics/appetites.
- An ability to dig below the surface to understand context, materiality and root causes.
- Experience in assurance and controls testing, identifying areas of risk and finding pragmatic solutions.
- Good track record in understanding business models, associated risks and partnering senior business stakeholders.
- Good experience of digging below the surface and understanding the context and materiality of risks.
There is an expectation of more proactive constructive challenge and independent stakeholder management for the P3 role, whereas the P2 will focus more on supporting the operational implementation and monitoring tasks.
