Equifax’s Data Expansion team is expanding. We are looking for an engaging motivated individual to join us as a Data Development Manager. You will play an important role sourcing new data assets and engaging with new data suppliers. Join an exciting new team within Equifax’s Data & Analytics (D&A) function that is focused on leveraging analytical exercises to understand and prove the value of new data assets.
This role is a specialist position where you will be engaging with potential new data suppliers, using your experience across the financial services, data supply and/or CRA sectors. You’ll have the ability to form new relationships and maintain them once up and running. Experience for this role can come from a sales/relationship management or supplier management background.
The role will be involved in engaging with new suppliers across our core data asset focusing on areas such as BNPL, Financial services and Rental Data providers. Other core asset suppliers will need to be sourced where new suppliers are being considered to fill gaps in existing data assets. These will be complemented by looking for exciting new data assets that can be sourced and deployed in Equifax’s cloud environment to offer greater differentiation against other CRA’s.
Finding new assets and having a pipeline of new potential data suppliers will create work for the Analytical Expansion Team to evaluate, which is key to the success of the team in analytically proving the value of newly sourced data assets. D&A offers a clear, structured, career development enabling accelerated career progression and growth. What you’ll do:
- Support Data Expansion priorities and projects focused on Data Innovation, Big Bet Support and Credit Lifecycle stage support.
- Use the data expansion strategy to identify, research, and analyze potential new data sources, including additional uses of and improvement to existing data.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and other communications on data strategy and enablement initiatives.
- Lead and participate in meetings and other working routines among data, IT, product, and analytics teams, offering up solutions when appropriate.
- Apply deep knowledge in a given business and data subject area to implement, operate, and improve data capabilities.
- Develop subject-matter expertise for multiple business and data subject areas.
- Create materials and train teams on data expansion strategy and the supporting roles, responsibilities, operating model, and capabilities.
What experience you need:
- Working in sales, client engagement, supplier or relationship management with experience of building lasting relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, a related discipline required or equivalent experience will be considered.
- Extensive analysis, product management, and/or consulting experience regarding data, including financial services data.
- Understanding of the UK data supply or CRA market and a strong network within the data supply ecosystem.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making and experience influencing senior level decision makers.
- Familiarity with Agile and other project management methods.
- Experience developing/improving and implementing business strategy, operating models, and business capabilities (people, process, and IT).
What could set you apart:
- Experience working in the BNPL or Rental Sector.
- Experience using CRA data.
- Cloud certification and experience with cloud or on-prem technologies, structured and unstructured data, streaming and reposed data.
- Master’s degree.
- Experience with SQL and BI Tools (Looker, BigQuery, Tableau, etc.), data management and/or cloud data management, product and work management tools (Aha!, Jira, ServiceNow), written and oral presentation, and data governance tools (Collibra, Informatica, etc.).
