Equifax is seeking a driven and insightful Consultant to join our dynamic Core Analytics team within the Data and Analytics (D&A) division. This role will work closely with internal analytics teams, data owners and technology squads on a wide range of data investigations and impact analyses. Members of Core Analytics are known for being the subject matter experts in how Equifax data is used and are at the heart of the most important projects in the business. A new team is being established within Core Analytics that will be dedicated to providing the analysis and expertise required when incidents occur or complex client queries are received. The successful applicant will manage a team of analysts, assigning priorities and providing guidance for analysis while contributing analytical output as well.
What you’ll do
- Develop deep data knowledge in the structure, application and permissible use of data sources, across consumer and commercial lines of business.
- Application of data mining tools and programming languages like SQL and Python to prepare data and undertake analysis.
- Represent D&A in Business Incident meetings to suggest relevant investigative or impact analyses.
- Triage individual incident (non BI) tickets assigned to D&A to understand severity, necessary actions and timelines.
- Manage an inbox that receives client data queries from client facing D&A teams.
- Provide analytical support to the Tiger Team’s proactive data improvement initiatives.
- Prioritise work across a team of analysts across BIs, incidents and queries.
- Write and present proposals, approaches and results to stakeholders, including complex analysis to a range of technical and non-technical audiences in Equifax’s governance councils.
What Experience You Need
- Relevant numerical degree with a 2:1 or above.
- Experience in programming languages SQL and Python in a data analytics environment.
- Experience in the use of credit bureau data.
- An inquisitive mindset, with experience of digging deep into data and processes to understand what happens and why.
- Strong technical expertise and experience of analytics techniques to solve problems.
- You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with team members and stakeholders at various levels, including business leaders.
- Strong hands-on experience in a data analytics environment.
