Contract: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Maternity Cover)

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced AML Compliance Officer to join our team in Leeds for a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover a period of maternity leave. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the due diligence process for new and existing clients, ensuring strict adherence to our compliance and security requirements and playing a vital part in our anti-financial crime framework.
What You Will Do
- Client Onboarding & Due Diligence: You will perform comprehensive Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), ensuring all Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) files are completed accurately and within required SLAs.
- Pipeline Management: Manage the sales and client onboarding pipeline effectively within Salesforce.
- Risk Assessment: Track and review anti-financial crime regulatory risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Reporting & Analysis: Produce and analyse Management Information (MI) and reporting on quality, productivity, and risk statistics on an ongoing basis.
- Process Improvement: Create and maintain quality checklists and learning logs to drive continuous improvements across our ongoing KYC programmes and procedures.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a key point of contact, communicating with clients where required to explain requirements and working collaboratively with internal departments like Sales and Compliance.
What Experience You Need
- Demonstrable experience working within a CDD/KYC/AML role is essential.
- A strong working knowledge of financial crime regulations.
- Experience in analysing and understanding complex corporate structures and trusts.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders and clients at all levels of seniority.
- Strong time management and organisational skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
- Proficient presentation skills to communicate complex information clearly.
