Role Overview
We are seeking a driven Account Manager New Business Sales (EValuate) to focus on selling EValuate, Eque2’s market-leading estimating solution. The role combines account management and business development, requiring someone who can build strong relationships, identify growth opportunities, and confidently discuss estimating workflows and challenges faced by construction businesses. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of estimating processes, including first-principles estimating, bill import/export workflows, subcontractor enquiries, take-offs, rate build-ups, and how software can standardise pricing and reduce errors. The role would be suited to someone who is hungry for success and wants to exceed targets rather than just hitting them. This role reports into the Sales Director - SMB.
Key Responsibilities
- Be able to work as a team and work towards a team and individual target.
- Provide weekly forecasting and able to describe in detail sales opportunities in pipeline.
- Be able to create opportunities from outbound calling.
- Work with internal teams such as finance, support, professional services and customer care to answer customer queries quickly.
- Develop relationships with key accounts and create close plans for longer term opportunities.
- Ensure CRM is always kept up to date with customer contact details and interactions.
- Follow up inbound leads in a timely manner and look to maximise those opportunities.
- Understand our competitors and how we compete in the market.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of all Eque2 Evaluate and work with Product team to share any insights from customer feedback.
- Share ideas with the marketing team regarding buying trends for future campaigns.
Office based in our Newburn office in Newcastle.
Essential Required Experience & Skills
- 3-5 years experience in a software sales environment (ideally SaaS or construction tech).
- Proven success in new business generation, outbound calling, and managing multi-stage sales cycles.
- Strong understanding of estimating processes.
- Ability to confidently run product demonstrations.
- Excellent communication and proposal-writing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously and work towards individual and team targets.
Desirable
- Prior experience selling solutions into the construction sector.
- Understanding of cloud-based estimating workflows and digital take-off tools.
