Eque2 is a provider of construction-specific software solutions to the UK and Irish marketplace, with applications across estimating, job costing and service & maintenance. The company is growing and is seeking an Account Manager for the Enterprise Division to manage key deals with a range of contractors in a fast-paced sales environment.

Role Summary

As the Enterprise Account Manager, you will deliver engaging value-based sales presentations to C-level executives of existing customers. You will have access to Eque2’s resources and a proven framework for success, with support from a bid team to ensure seamless engagement. This is a national role with opportunities for travel; hybrid working (home and office) with prospect site visits as required. You will receive full training on products and processes to develop and succeed in delivering your role.

Responsibilities

  • Retain and grow a portfolio of existing clients, ensuring high satisfaction and engagement.
  • Hold regular account review meetings with clients at agreed intervals.
  • Drive revenue by selling additional user licenses, product modules, cloud upgrades, and third-party add-ons.
  • Understand clients’ business needs and align our software solutions to maximise opportunity and retain customers.
  • Work with customer success teams to ensure high renewal rates and minimise churn through proactive engagement.
  • Identify and track opportunities in CRM, forecast accurately, and report progress for full sales pipeline management.
  • Create and maintain account review documents detailing key contacts, initiatives, and existing solutions and product penetration.
  • Create and maintain a product matrix to identify gaps and drive opportunities and campaigns.
  • Stay updated on construction technology trends and market offerings.
  • Collaborate with executives and cross-functional teams (CCO, CRO, CEO, Marketing, Product, Pre-sales) as needed.
  • Support proposals with customer satisfaction measurements, case studies, and marketing materials.
  • Lead product demonstrations and workshops to senior teams within customers, with support from presales resources.
  • Work with product development/strategy teams to inform future roadmap enhancements based on feedback.
  • Coordinate with professional services and support teams for the handover from commercial bid to delivery when an opportunity is won.
  • Create and maintain competitor battle cards to communicate value proposition.
  • Weekly forecasting with Sales Director and Head of Enterprise; update opportunities in CRM; manage close plans.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a software account manager role preferred.
  • Ability to work within a structured sales delivery process and understand key sales delivery models (e.g., SPIN).
  • Credible, articulate, and tenacious with the gravitas to build relationships with executives up to C-level.
  • Proven history of exceeding sales targets and growing revenue; commercially aware with an understanding of solution sales processes.
  • Outstanding PowerPoint and software presentation skills; strong problem-solving abilities and ability to upsell.
  • Experience writing detailed proposals and using close plans; proficient in CRM and sales metrics.

Desirable / Sector Knowledge

  • Understanding of the Construction sector; prior experience selling into construction is advantageous.
  • Construction software experience or knowledge of Microsoft Business Central preferred.
  • Understanding of other financial and ERP solutions or competitor construction finance solutions.

Education

  • A degree or equivalent higher education is preferred for this role.
