Now that our continued growth has surpassed £30m in turnover, we are looking to strengthen our Financial Planning team by adding a Business Analyst on a one-year fixed-term contract.
Role Summary
This role supports the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis in managing and optimising overhead costs through detailed analysis, financial modelling, and insightful reporting.
The Business Analyst will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making, helping to drive financial efficiency and operational effectiveness across the organisation.

About you
You\'ll be a detail-oriented and analytical thinker with a passion for turning data into actionable insights.
With strong experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, you\'re confident navigating complex datasets and presenting clear recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
You have excellent Excel and modelling skills, a solid understanding of business operations, and a proactive mindset for identifying cost-saving opportunities.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment, work well cross-functionally, and are always looking for ways to improve processes and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse overhead spend across departments and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning.
Collaborate with Finance, Operational, and Commercial teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Handle large datasets from multiple sources, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
Prepare monthly overhead reports with variance analysis and commentary.
Support the annual budget and monthly reforecasting processes.
Develop dashboards and visual tools to communicate insights to stakeholders.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modelling.
Proven ability to work with high volumes of complex data.
Advanced Excel skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.
Desirable
Experience in budgeting and forecasting.
Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI).
Experience working in a private equity-backed environment.
Success Measures
Accuracy and timeliness of overhead reporting and analysis.
Quality and usability of financial models.
Stakeholder satisfaction with insights and support.
Contribution to cost optimisation initiatives.

Qualifications required
