An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and detail-focused Sales Operations Administrator to join the team. Reporting to the Sales Operations Manager, the successful candidate will support the full sales order lifecycle, from initial customer enquiry through to order processing, fulfilment coordination, invoicing and reporting. The role will act as a key link between customers, the sales team, warehouse colleagues and logistics partners, helping to ensure a consistent and reliable customer experience. The successful candidate will also contribute to the continued development of sales operations by identifying inefficiencies and supporting improvements that enhance processes and service levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the shared sales inbox, ensuring enquiries are monitored, logged accurately and actioned promptly.
- Recording inbound enquiries and ensuring they are allocated to the appropriate sales team member.
- Processing customer orders, including raising and amending sales orders and checking pricing, product codes and customer details.
- Liaising with customers regarding stock availability, back orders, delivery timelines, order confirmations and documentation.
- Supporting goods dispatch by coordinating logistics and fulfilment activities when required.
- Working closely with warehouse colleagues to resolve order, stock and delivery issues.
- Converting sales orders into invoices via the company ERP system.
- Producing and distributing daily sales figures and reports to the wider business.
- Maintaining accurate records, documentation and audit trails across all sales activities.
- Supporting the Sales Operations Manager with reporting, process adherence and continuous improvement activities.
- Identifying recurring issues and assisting with improvements to operational processes.
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a sales administration, sales operations, order processing or commercial support role. They will have experience using ERP systems and sales order management platforms, along with strong Microsoft Office skills and excellent general computer competency.
