We are seeking a Contracts Manager or Project Manager to join a growing construction business delivering small works and refurbishment projects valued up to £250,000.

The successful candidate will have a strong trade background, ideally within carpentry, drylining or plastering, and experience managing refurbishment and fit-out projects from inception through to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple small works and refurbishment projects.
  • Oversee site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and compliance.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants and end users throughout project delivery.
  • Produce site reports, programmes and project updates.
  • Manage health & safety documentation and site procedures.

Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Site Manager or Project Manager within refurbishment, fit-out or small works construction.
  • Trade background in Carpentry, Drylining or Plastering preferred.
  • Experience delivering projects up to £250k in value.
  • Strong client-facing and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Essential Qualifications
  • SMSTS or SSSTS
  • Valid CSCS Card
  • First Aid at Work Certificate
  • Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
  • Experience working within occupied school environments.
  • Knowledge of public sector and education sector projects.
  • Temporary Works awareness.
  • Asbestos Awareness certification.
