  • Monday-Thursday: 10:00am-6:30pm

The Role of the Commercial Insurance Broker

This is a leadership‐focused position combining hands‐on client management with responsibility for guiding and supporting a team of brokers. You will play a key role in driving business growth, managing a portfolio of commercial clients across a range of sectors, and contributing to the wider strategic direction of the business.

Key Responsibilities of the Commercial Insurance Broker

  • Develop, grow and manage a portfolio of commercial insurance clients
  • Provide tailored advice and negotiate competitive insurance programmes
  • Drive new business opportunities and support business development strategies
  • Manage renewals, mid‐term adjustments and new business enquiries
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers and underwriters
  • Ensure high standards of service delivery and client satisfaction
  • Maintain up‐to‐date knowledge of insurance products, market trends and compliance
  • Ensure all activity complies with FCA regulations and internal procedures
  • Provide guidance and support to other brokers as part of the leadership team

About You

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Insurance Broker
  • Strong knowledge of commercial general insurance products
  • Previous leadership or management experience (highly desirable)
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship‐building skills
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‐on client work
  • Strong organisational, communication and problem‐solving skills
  • Cert CII qualification (or working towards) preferred
