An established and highly respected building services contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Qualifying Supervisor (NICEIC) to join its growing Mechanical & Electrical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong electrical professional to take ownership of NICEIC compliance while supporting the delivery of high-quality electrical works across a diverse portfolio of commercial, specialist, and residential projects.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring electrical installations meet current regulations, maintaining the company's NICEIC accreditation, and providing technical guidance to engineers and project teams.
Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Qualifying Supervisor- Act as the company's NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor.
- Ensure all electrical works comply with the latest BS 7671 Wiring Regulations.
- Review, inspect and sign off electrical certification and associated documentation.
- Carry out regular site inspections and compliance audits across live projects.
- Provide technical support and guidance to electrical engineers and supervisors.
- Oversee inspection, testing and accurate recording of electrical works.
- Maintain compliance with statutory, safety and quality standards.
- Liaise with NICEIC representatives and external auditors.
- Promote best practice and high standards of workmanship throughout the business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, identifying opportunities to improve service delivery.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach to electrical compliance.
Essential Requirements:- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation.
- City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- City & Guilds 2391-52 Inspection & Testing qualification.
- Valid ECS Card.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs).
- Excellent working knowledge of BS 7671 and both single-phase and three-phase electrical installations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently whilst supporting a wider team.
- Previous experience as an NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor.
- Knowledge of BS 5266 Emergency Lighting requirements.
- Experience within commercial building services or M&E contracting.
