Equans is looking for an Apprentice Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) to join our team in Stevenage. This is a full-time apprenticeship role offering a competitive salary, structured training, and a full benefits package. As this is a social value-based role, applicants must be located in or very near the Stevenage area to be eligible.

The Apprentice Resident Liaison Officer plays a key part in ensuring excellent communication between residents and the construction team. Acting as a trusted point of contact for our communities, you will help manage expectations, resolve concerns, and support the smooth delivery of works in occupied homes. Throughout the apprenticeship, you will receive structured training, mentoring, and hands-on experience across both customer service and construction environments.

What will you deliver?

  • Act as the primary point of contact between residents and the construction team.
  • Provide clear communication about project timelines, work schedules, and potential disruptions.
  • Support and help organise resident meetings, consultations, and community engagement events.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident interactions, surveys, and project updates.
  • Provide administrative support to the site management team.
  • Monitor on-site progress and escalate resident concerns where appropriate.
  • Work closely with site teams, health & safety personnel, and external partners.
  • Support the delivery of works in occupied housing environments with minimal disruption.
  • Enrol in and complete a formal apprenticeship programme, with regular reviews, mentoring, and structured classroom/online training.
