Equans is recruiting for a Store Person to join our team in University of Sheffield Student Village, 14A Endcliffe Avenue, Sheffield. S10 3EA, on a permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of Β£23,000 to Β£26,000 per annum depending on skills and experience and benefits package.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
What You Will Deliver
General Overview: The role of Storeman is responsible for the full stock control within an FM environment. This includes ordering, receiving, issuing, storing, and managing materials and equipment required to support maintenance and operational teams. Stock is located in a central store plus satellite stores throughout the accommodation villages. The role ensures compliance with site procedures, drives efficiency, and maintains high standards of housekeeping and safety.
- Site based β working 9AM to 5PM Monday to Friday
- Manage all stock on site, ensuring items are stored safely and appropriately.
- Carry out daily stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Order goods to maintain required stock levels and ensure timely availability.
- Receive, inspect, and book in all deliveries in line with procurement procedures.
- Ensure prompt processing of delivery notes to support timely supplier payments.
- Organise the site store areas in various locations to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.
- Rotate stock to minimise waste and ensure availability of critical items.
- Transport goods safely around site as required.
- Return defective items to suppliers and manage replacements/credits.
- Support maintenance and operational teams during busy periods.
- Ensure compliance with all FM, H&S, and sustainability policies.
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors and site personnel as needed.
- Attend any required training relevant to the role.

- Computer literacy and strong administrative skills.

- Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced FM environment.

- Physically fit to move, lift, and handle materials safely.
- Full UK driving licence (preferred).
