Overview

Join to apply for the Plumber role at EQUANS. This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week with a competitive salary and excellent benefits package. Location: Woodland View Hospital, Irvine.

What will you deliver?

  • Conduct routine checks and maintenance on domestic water outlets, storage tanks, and associated systems.
  • Service and maintain Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs) to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Record and monitor water temperatures across various systems to maintain optimal performance.
  • Perform general plumbing maintenance throughout the hospital, addressing issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure the hospital\’s plumbing systems comply with current water treatment legislation and Scottish Health Technical Memoranda (SHTM).
  • Install and maintain plumbing and drainage systems as required.
  • Enforce Equans health and safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.

Who are you?

  • Recognised mechanical/plumbing apprenticeship (essential)
  • Sound knowledge of mechanical building services and fault diagnosis
  • Comfortable working within a hospital or healthcare environment (desirable)
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and complete detailed documentation
  • Good working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
  • Strong team ethic and flexible approach to support business needs
  • Willingness to undertake further training and obtain AP (Authorised Person) status (financial uplift provided for AP duties)
  • Due to the contract, you must be able to obtain and maintain a PVG Disclosure Scotland
