Equans currently has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Shift Maintenance Craftsperson to join our facilities team based at the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford. This is a permanent shift‑based position working an average of 38.5 hours per week, 4 on 4 off, days only from 06:30 to 18:30. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • Reporting to the Technical Services Manager
  • Providing technical engineering support for the Hard FM Services department and carrying out preventative maintenance to deadline, maintaining paperwork to support PPM activities
  • Responding to reactive and emergency faults, conducting reactive maintenance work to ensure compliance with KPI’s
  • Managing contractors as necessary

Who are we looking for?

  • Must hold a recognised electrical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 2 (theory and practice) in a relevant electrical discipline with suitable industry experience
  • Experience in building services is required
  • Willingness to attain cross‑skilling and undertake training to qualify as an AP as required
  • IT literate
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Demonstrated good planning, organising and prioritising skills
  • Ability to use initiative and judgement to resolve problems
  • Experience in a healthcare environment is advantageous
  • Good understanding of health and safety best practice; formal training an advantage
