Join Equans, a leading energies and services contractor and a proud member of the global industrial group, Bouygues. We are now offering an exciting new opportunity for a Multiskilled Lead Technician to support one of our O&M sites in Imery, Cornwall. Equans Embedded Energy operates multiple customer sites with large-scale embedded energy capacity across the UK, providing specialist management of onsite generation for industrial processes and the ability to export to the Grid.
General overview:
- To undertake and coordinate the activities of the team and others in carrying out all PPM and reactive repairs as necessary.
- Responsible for minor installations and maintenance of site electro-mechanical systems including Compressed Air, Steam, Pressure, Water and Gas ensuring that all equipment within responsibility and control is correctly maintained and repaired, maximising plant operational efficiency and the safety of all other personnel at all times.
- Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, the Lead Technician will help manage the day-to-day Operations and Planned/Reactive maintenance activities.
Key activities:
- Direct point of contact with the customer.
- Provide ad-hoc and emergency on-call rota cover.
- Diagnose and repair faults on systems and plant including basic mechanical and electrical fault finding.
- Supervise and deliver preventative, predictive and emergency maintenance work in order to meet plant reliability and performance targets.
- Create and maintain high quality records and reports of maintenance activities to deliver useful plant history data which complies with all relevant statutory requirements.
- Responsible for all record keeping, control of sub-contractors and raising and issuing of safety documentation as required.
- Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards of workmanship and safety.
Skills, qualifications & experience:
- Knowledge and preferably proven experience and delivery of FM Services.
- Knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety legislation and its impact on day to day operations.
- Minimum of BTEC National Certificate/City and Guilds Level 3 or equivalent but preferred Higher National Certificate in a Mechanical craft discipline.
- Proven related Experience in mechanical/electrical work.
