Mobile Multiskilled Mechanical Engineer for the HMCTS contract at Bradford Combined Court. Permanent, full‑time 40 hours per week. Includes regular call‑out rota duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and carry out reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical plant, ensuring safety and compliance.
- Conduct Legionella control and monitoring activities.
- Ensure preventive maintenance (PPM) as per site task schedules and CAFM, and keep plant logs up to date.
- Respond to reactive tasks, identify improvement opportunities, and resolve plant faults promptly.
- Maintain suitable spare stock, provide parts lists and estimated timescales for remedial works.
- Complete all related paperwork, CAFM entries, Method Statements and Risk Assessments, and liaise with the contract administrator.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with EQUANS staff, subcontractors and client representatives.
- Adhere to safety, wear PPE and uniform, and maintain a tidy plant environment.
- Arrange holiday and sickness cover; remain flexible with working patterns.
- Undertake lone working where required, following proper training.
- Monitor and achieve contractual KPIs/SLA; keep CAFM system and tickets closed out accurately.
- Operate Permit to Work System per EQUANS technical and SHEQ processes.
- Provide engineering support during emergencies to maintain business continuity.
- Support other engineers and operatives; collaborate with internal and external staff to minimise disruption.
- Support helpdesk activities and out‑of‑hours call‑out support.
- Prepare technical appointments, condition and dilapidation reports as required.
- Maintain equipment calibration and report incidents, near misses, and accidents promptly.
- Manage subcontractors in line with H.
