Mobile Maintenance Assistant

Key activities

• Reporting to the Maintenance Manager
• Undertake any allocated jobs as directed by Maintenance Manager, in line with requests sent via PDA/mobile devices
• Respond promptly and efficiently to breakdowns and ensure all associated paperwork is completed in a satisfactory, accurate and prompt manner
• Carry out general duties including support by manual labour for relocations and moves, tidying and cleaning Estates areas and Plant rooms
• Work alone with minimum supervision or within a team to carry out routine maintenance, repair, and cleaning activity across the estate
• Ensure cleaning materials and chemicals are available at all sites
• Attend training programmes as necessary to meet contract requirements and for self‑development purposes
• Work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm with a one‑hour unpaid lunch break plus participation in the on‑call rota (1 in 11 which includes weekends)

Skills, qualifications & experience

• Experience in a maintenance role and of PPM completion is desirable
• Good customer care and people skills
• Ability to work well in a team or unsupervised
• Basic fabric handyperson skills
• Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures
• Must have a full valid UK driving licence due to requirement to travel between sites across Greater Manchester
• Requirement to achieve and retain relevant GMP vetting clearance
