Equans is seeking a Mobile BMS Engineer to join our Digital team, covering Telford and surrounding areas on a full-time basis. Our Digital division offers opportunities to upgrade and enhance Building Management System (BMS) infrastructure across various sectors including commercial, retail, healthcare, education, and government. Our goal is to make sites smart-enabled, unlocking additional value through IoT solutions that provide social, economic, and environmental benefits to the communities and individuals within these sites. We handle project works ranging from £10k to £1.5m, supported by a mix of in-house delivery and specialist supply chain partners. With aggressive growth planned over the next 3-5 years, this role is crucial in shaping and expanding our team sustainably.
Key Activities:
- The BMS Service Engineer will perform tasks on contracted customer sites, including PFI Schools, PFI Hospitals, Government Estates, and MOD sites.
- Daily responsibilities include:
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining BMS components such as sensors, controllers, actuators, and software systems.
- Performing maintenance on Trend, Tridium, and Distech BMSs across various sites.
- Participating in a reactive call-out rota, with additional financial benefits for on-call attendance.
- Providing technical support and advice to clients regarding their BMS systems.
- Identifying opportunities for system improvements and remedial works.
- Preparing proposals and quotations for works as needed.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
- Electrical qualifications such as City & Guild, BTEC, or NVQ.
- Extensive knowledge of BMS/HVAC systems.
- Experience with Trend, Tridium Controls/Niagara, Distech, Siemens.
- Strong understanding of electrical industry standards.
- Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Knowledge of IT networks and AutoCAD.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Controls training and fault-finding experience in electrical panels.
- DBS and BPSS vetting.
- Excellent communication and written skills.
