EQUANS is recruiting for a Site Manager to be based in Didsbury. This is a full‑time fixed‑term contract for 36 months, working 39 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, car allowance, bonus and benefits package.
Overview
To manage a designated project on site and achieve the target contributions in accordance with the contract documents and programme; ensuring that the project is delivered safely on time, to a high standard of quality and with high levels of client/resident satisfaction. To understand, implement and adhere to the company SHEQ policy/strategy and ensure all employees reporting to you do the same and are responsible for ensuring that SHEQ requirements are upheld to the highest of standards at all times.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist the Operations / Project Manager with pre‑start details.
- Report to the Line Manager on the progress against the programme.
- Ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety aspects.
- Fully understand the company’s SHEQ policy/strategy.
- Produce target and/or recovery programmes (short‑term, etc.).
- Update productivity trackers including CPR.
- Maintenance of company required Health & Safety procedures / initiatives, including:
- Use of PPE
- Site Inductions
- Management of Method Statements / Risk Assessments
- Undertake a thorough review of all subcontractors RAMS to ensure they have identified all foreseeable risks and implemented suitable controls.
- Obtain all risk assessments from contractors.
- Obtain subcontractors Health & Safety policies prior to their work commencement.
- Identify training needs.
- Maintain statutory registers, including accident reporting.
- Work Permits.
- Scaffold / Lifting equipment inspections.
- In‑house audits / inspections.
- Site housekeeping.
- Management of defects.
- Fully understand the Construction Phase Plan Requirements, including its development.
- Compliance with specification.
- Compliance with materials / workmanship schedules.
- Subcontractor code of conduct.
- Considerate Constructors Scheme.
- Assistant Managers, Resident Liaison Officers, Administrators, Sub‑Contractors and other site operatives.
