Assistant Site Manager – Long Bennington
Full-time permanent role. Works 40 hours per week. Offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Site Manager with pre‑start details.
- Report to the Line Manager on progress against the programme.
- Ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety aspects, fully understand the company’s SHEQ policy/strategy.
- Produce target and/or recovery programmes (short term, etc.).
- Update productivity trackers including CPR.
- Assist with preparation of the Health and Safety file.
- Maintain and update Construction Phase Health & Safety plan as works proceed.
- Liaise with the client, consultants, contract administrators, head office, etc.
- Be responsible for opening and closing site facilities, including ensuring alarms are armed and working.
- Manage site facilities: welfare, toilets, offices, compound area, etc.Manage site housekeeping, discipline, behaviour, etc.
- Stay aware of possible commercial opportunities.
- Assist in the management of project‑specific preliminaries.
- Ensure all actions relating to proper close‑out of projects are executed before transfer to Customer Care Team.
- Ensure all documentation required to achieve handovers is accurately and promptly issued.
- Coordinate the Sub‑Contractors and set up and deliver weekly supply chain meetings.
- Attend project and company‑related meetings.
- Mentor and train Assistant Site Manager(s) and junior staff.
- Ensure, with the Resident Liaison Officer, all relevant resident and public complaints are resolved efficiently.
- Carry out any other reasonable management requests.

Qualifications
- Previous site management experience.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of building legislation.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
- Understanding of local government construction projects.
- Experience of partnership arrangements.
- Current and valid UK driving licence.
- Evidence of right to work in the UK.
