Equans is looking for a Full Time Cleaning Supervisor to join our team in Highbury Grove School, London, N5 2EQ on a permanent basis working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £29,932.50 per annum and benefits package.
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday Split Shift
What will you deliver?
- Responsible for ensuring the provision of a safe and high quality cleaning service across the school's campus that enables the delivery of a safe, sanitary, clean and tidy environment consistent with the education function.
- Ensure appropriate cleaning frequencies are in place as per contractual requirement and to suit the needs of the core services, and conduct the cleaning of all areas in such a way as to enable all users of the building to do so safely and hygienically while promoting a positive image of the schools to all its users.
- To manage all aspects of the cleaning staff on site in the delivery of the cleaning services as required, including such areas as inductions, training, monitoring, attendance management, performance reviews and appraisals, health and safety, complaints and auditing.
For this role you must undergo a DBS clearance therefore ability to pass is essential.

Who are we looking for?
- Must be able to complete an Enhanced DBS in line with the contract's requirements
- Candidate should have previous experience in supervising cleaning services, and have knowledge of cleaning substances and techniques
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload effectively with good organisational skills
- Must be able to work well as part of a team
- Flexible approach to the role
- Ability to work additional hours when required to cover sickness and annual leave
- To wear protective clothing as issued, adhering to the Health and Safety requirements of the Company and observing all client and Company statutory Fire and Safety regulations
- Must be able to communicate effectively with work colleagues, clients and members of the public
- To complete and sign company documentation and submit to line manager as requested
