Equans currently has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join our facilities team at West Middlesex University Hospital in Isleworth. This is a permanent full‑time position working 40 hours per week, from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Provide technical engineering support within the Hard FM Services department by carrying out preventative maintenance to deadline and maintain paperwork to support PPM activities.
  • Respond to reactive and emergency faults and conduct reactive maintenance work to ensure compliance with KPIs.
  • Manage sub‑contractors as necessary, working to a safe system of work and permit‑to‑work system.
  • Undertake AP/RP duties for the disciplines for which you have been appointed.
  • Work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with a requirement to participate in the out‑of‑hours on‑call rota and be able to respond/attend site within one hour of the call.

Who are we looking for?

  • Must hold a recognised mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience; AP in HV desirable.
  • Experience in building services maintenance is essential.
  • Willingness to attain cross‑skilling and IT literate.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Good planning, organising and prioritising skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and judgement to resolve problems.
  • Experience in a healthcare environment is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of health & safety best practice; formal training an advantage.
