Overview

In this role you will provide frontline HR support across a national multisite contract, partnering with HRBPs and line managers to improve culture, engagement, compliance and cost control. You will travel regionally to sites, work in a hybrid setup and help embed people practices from disciplinary to performance management. You will shape policies, perform essential reporting, and support change initiatives to enable operational excellence. This is a hands-on advisory role in a fast-paced environment, offering meaningful impact on a large workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Advise and support line managers in people processes to drive engagement and best practice
  • Coach managers to build capability and leadership ownership
  • Support grievance and disciplinary actions and attend hearings as needed
  • Generate attendance and performance reports; identify and address concerns
  • Act as HR super-user for SuccessFactors; monitor cycles and timeliness
  • Track offline appraisals for front-line staff
  • Support month-end data reporting and ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Assist with policy launches and conduct workshops/trainings
  • Counsel on employee engagement initiatives and contract-wide programs
  • Support TUPE In/Out and act as initial contact
  • Assist with annual salary reviews and governance/compliance checks
  • Coordinate REMCO processes as required; ensure GDPR and governance adherence
  • Support organizational change and mobilisations as needed
  • Maintain alignment with EQUANS ethics policy

Key requirements

  • Significant HR experience in a high-pressure environment
  • Knowledge of TUPE/contract mobilisation
  • Operational HR advisory experience supporting front- and mid-level managers
  • Track record in generalist HR and change management
  • Knowledge of UK employment legislation and best practice
  • Strong communication skills (in person, email, letter)
  • Data gathering and reporting capability
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Willingness to travel nationally; valid UK driving licence
  • BPSS clearance or eligibility
