Main Purpose of Job:
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, including statutory and mandatory compliance, across the East London region, specifically at Barking Schools. You will ensure the safe and efficient performance of electrical services across multiple sites, contributing to the overall maintenance and safety of building systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on electrical systems across multiple sites.
- Participate in the On-Call Rota and out-of-hours work as needed.
- Keep qualifications and knowledge up to date.
- Complete necessary paperwork accurately and on time.
- Carry out minor new electrical works, refurbishments, and replacements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues or coordinate with external contractors for solutions.
- Ensure statutory documentation is up-to-date and compliant.
- Follow health, safety, and environmental guidelines at all times.
About You:
You will be a qualified Electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems and building services, including power, lighting, and fire systems. You will have a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and a keen attention to detail. You will also be committed to health, safety, and environmental best practices.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
- Up-to-date knowledge of current electrical standards and regulations.
- Experience with planned, reactive maintenance, and compliance work.
