Equans is looking for a Mobile Caretaker to join the team covering multiple sites across theLancashire & Blackburn Schools Project. This is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £25,954.50 per annum and benefits package. Shift times: Monday - Friday, Any 8 hour shift between the hours of 05.30 and 22.00pm.
Key responsibilities
- Carrying out general caretaking, cleaning, and basic maintenance tasks
- Supporting site security, including opening and closing the premises
- Building positive relationships with school staff and community users
- Ensuring services are delivered to a consistently high standard
- Supporting compliance with health and safety requirements
You will also work closely with the Area Supervisor to support service delivery across the site. For this role you must undergo a DBS clearance; therefore the ability to pass is essential.
Essential qualifications
- A reliable and proactive approach to work
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to organise and prioritise tasks
- A commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable (not essential) qualifications
- Experience in caretaking, facilities, or maintenance roles
- Experience supervising or supporting others
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance or systems
- Understanding of health and safety practices
