As part of our growth, we are looking for our future Workshop Manager. Location: Bridgwater (UK). The Workshop/Warehouse Manager will lead and oversee all operations related to the prefabrication, storage, and dispatch of HVAC ductwork components supporting the Hinkley Point C nuclear site construction. The aim is to support the efficient delivery and erection of HVAC systems on the Hinkley Point C nuclear site, ensuring quality, safety, and timely supply to the construction teams.
Your role and responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the workshop and warehouse focused on HVAC duct prefabrication and materials logistics.
- Coordinate all deliveries from outside the UK.
- Plan, organize, and control fabrication workflows to meet project timelines and quality standards.
- Supervise and lead a team of fitters.
- Implement and enforce strict health, safety, security, and nuclear compliance policies within workshop and warehouse operations.
- Develop and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workshop productivity, safety performance, and logistics efficiency.
- Manage resource allocation, including manpower planning, equipment maintenance, and tooling requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of workshop activities, inspections, and dispatch logs to support project reporting and audit requirements.
Your profile:
- Ideally, you have previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a highly regulated sector such as the nuclear industry.
- You have solid experience in HVAC and team management, ideally gained in an industrial or construction environment.
- You demonstrate excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, enabling you to effectively coordinate activities and lead teams.
