Maintenance Technician (Water) in Birmingham

Equans is looking for a Maintenance Technician (Water) to join our team based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

WHAT WILL YOU DELIVER?

• Undertake the water system planned preventive maintenance, testing, breakdown maintenance and other maintenance related activities to the Estate.
• Complete maintenance and reactive tasks on the following but not limited to; TMV Servicing, Water Tanks, CLO2 Units, Showers, Water Plants, Temperature Checks.
• Understand the operation of water systems and good water hygiene practices to correctly apply this knowledge and understand during the performance of Estates Services maintenance and testing activities.
• Provide as requested by management reports, calculations, and recommendations for the correct and efficient running of all plant and equipment.
• Interpret and work from all instructions, drawings, and specifications appropriate to his/her own trade, without supervision.

WHO ARE YOU?

• NVQ or C&G Level 2 Heating/Vent/Plumbing.
• Legionella/TMV/Disinfection awareness and training.
• NVQ or C&G Level 3 Heating/Vent/Plumbing (Desirable).
• Water Hygiene Qualification (Desirable).
• Previous experience of working within a health care environment (Desirable).
• HTM 04 RP/CP training (Desirable).

This role includes a DBS Standard check therefore ability to pass is essential.
