Equans is looking for a Mobile Combustion Engineer to join our team working across the Midlands on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.

The role involves:

  • Working on our Midlands Mobile contract.
  • Covering numerous sites that fall within the contract such as Stoke Schools and Guide Dogs.
  • Ensuring that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator.
  • Completing supplementary documentation / E-Forms relating to the maintenance task as dictated by your line manager.
  • Updating customers CAFM system in real time with start/wait/stop completion times and providing full description of works undertaken, advising of any follow-on works required.
  • Ensuring reactive tasks throughout the sites are completed and being proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made.

Who are you?

A recognised industry qualification will be required, and previous experience is essential:

  • CCN1: Core Domestic Gas Safety (mandatory for domestic work).
  • COCN1: Core Commercial Gas Safety (mandatory for commercial work).
  • CPA1: Combustion Performance Analysis (often bundled with core).
  • Domestic (Natural Gas): CENWAT (boilers).
  • Commercial/Industrial: Includes CODNCO1 (domestic to commercial switch).
  • CIGA1/CDGA1: (commercial appliances), and pipework certifications like ICPN1.
  • BMP1: Gas boosters Medium pressure.
  • CCP1: Commission of commercial plant.
  • CDGA1: Commission, Service Direct Fired Heaters.
  • C&G Level 3 Plumbing.
  • Trade qualified Combustion Engineer with appropriate post apprenticeship experience desirable.
  • Commercial & Domestic Boiler experience.
  • Must have a full drivers' licence.

This role includes a DBS Enhanced with Barred Lists check therefore ability to pass is essential.
