Equans is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our team on our Birmingham Schools contract on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. What will you deliver?Manage and coordinate contract variations (Authority Notices of Change (ANCs)) and Small Works projects from initial scope development through to completion, handover and closure, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and within budgetCoordinate and oversee defect rectification and support works across the portfolio, ensuring issues are effectively managed and resolved within agreed timescalesAttend and actively contribute to monthly client review meetings, providing updates on project progress, risks and key actionsAttend and contribute to termly stakeholder meetings, supporting the development and maintenance of strong client relationshipsChair and coordinate weekly ANC review meetings, ensuring actions, risks and project milestones are recorded, communicated and tracked through to completionAct as the Health & Safety Ambassador for the portfolio, promoting a positive safety culture, participating in Health & Safety forums and ensuring all actions are implemented and closed out in a timely mannerWhat can we offer you?On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package, which includes;25 days annual leave (+ public holidays)Life Cover equivalent to 2 times annual salaryEmployee discount shopping schemes on major brands and retailersGym membership discounts Cycle to work scheme Holiday purchase scheme2 corporate social responsibility days per yearBroad range of learning opportunities, such as professional qualifications, collective/individual training, and personalized support programmesAttractive Employee Referral Rewards SchemeAccess to our growing employee networks24/7 Employee Assistance Program and access to mental wellbeing appWho are you?Experience in project coordination, facilities management, construction, building services or a similar environmentStrong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesExperience managing contractors and supplier relationshipsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsGood understanding of Health & Safety requirements and safe systems of workExperience of working within defined governance, procurement and financial approval processes, ensuring compliance with company controls and audit requirementsCompetent in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and TeamsAbility to work independently and as part of a wider teamFull UK Driving LicenceThis role includes a DBS Enhanced with Barred Lists check therefore ability to pass is essential.
