Equans is looking for an Assistant Security Manager to join our team in University of West London, Saint Mary's Road, Ealing W5 5RF on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is an annual salary of £42,058.00 per annum and benefits package.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 6am-3pm

WHAT WILL YOU DELIVER?

You will support the delivery of a comprehensive, customer-focused security service at the University of West London. You will be responsible for assisting in the overall management and coordination of security, reception (front of house), and car parking services across the university estate. The service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, requiring a strong and consistent management presence to ensure safety, efficiency, and service excellence.

The Assistant Security Manager will act as a visible and approachable figure across the campus, fostering strong relationships with staff, students, and stakeholders, while ensuring that security personnel deliver a high standard of professionalism at all times. The role also involves deputising for the Security Manager in their absence, taking full responsibility for service delivery and team leadership when required.

Who are we looking for?

Essential Requirements:

  • Valid SIA CCTV Licence
  • Valid SIA Security Guarding (SG) or Door Supervisor (DS) Licence
  • First Aid at Work certification
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong IT and computer literacy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience & Skills:

  • Previous experience in a security supervisory or management role
  • Proven ability to manage, lead, and motivate teams
  • Strong understanding of security operations and front-of-house services
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
