EQUANS are looking for a Mobile Technical Operative (M&E – Multiskilled) to be based at Swansea Crown Court for our HMCTS contract.

This role would be a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical building services systems.
  • Responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, fault finding, and repair works across a portfolio of commercial and industrial sites.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on HVAC, pumps, motors, lighting, power distribution, and associated plant equipment.
  • Undertake electrical testing, inspection, and minor installation works.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Complete accurate maintenance records and reports using a CAFM system.
  • Liaise professionally with clients and site representatives.
  • Participate in an on-call rota when required.
  • Identify opportunities for system improvements and energy efficiency savings.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota and attend emergency call-outs as required.
  • Respond promptly to out-of-hours breakdowns and critical equipment failures.
  • Provide technical support and fault diagnosis during on-call periods.
  • Ensure all emergency works are completed safely and reported accurately.

Requirements

  • Recognised Electrical Qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in building services maintenance.
  • Strong fault-finding skills across both electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
  • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing.
  • HVAC or Mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Experience working within commercial facilities management environments.
  • IPAF, PASMA, or other relevant certifications.
