Equans is looking for a Supervisor to join our team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. This is a permanent, full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

The role is to assist the AEM in the provision of Hard FM & Lifecycle Services whilst delivering a high-quality and statutory compliant maintenance service. This will involve working with and supervising a multi-disciplinary team in the operation, repair, and maintenance of plant and engineering services within a Mental Health environment. The Supervisor role is considered to be a working supervisor role, as the successful candidate will be assigned PPM/Corrective and reactive works to complete alongside the team.

What will you deliver?

  • Manage the day-to-day performance of the team including Planned, Corrective and Reactive maintenance tasks
  • Managing and directing staff in a safe and efficient manner
  • Deliver training to staff on relevant subjects as appropriate so experience is gained (e.g., toolbox talks & trade specific subject matter)
  • Manage leave and sickness within the team effectively, ensuring the rota is covered as necessary
  • Assist the AEM with annual leave requests and general personnel issues
  • Directly accountable for day to day matters to the AEM
  • Participate in a locally agreed On Call Rota to cover out of hours emergency works

Who are you?

  • ONC/HNC in a relevant discipline
  • Driving Licence
  • Previous experience in a Supervisory role
  • Current/previous appointment to the role of Authorised Person in a relevant discipline (Desirable)
  • IPAF (Desirable)
  • Previous experience working in a Mental Health environment (Desirable)
  • This role includes a DBS Standard check therefore ability to pass is essential.
