Equans is looking for a Ventilation Maintenance Assistant to join our team based at the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital in Smethwick on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £25,400 per annum and benefits package.
What will you deliver?
- Mechanical Ventilation experience
- Assist in engineering activities and undertake duties for which they are trained and competent to do
- Safely operate all types of access equipment, hand and power tools in accordance with health & safety and manufacturers’ guidelines
- Ensure the correct use of personal protective equipment and adherence to health & safety and infection control procedures
- Minimise penalty deductions by responding in a timely manner to all maintenance issues in accordance with the requirements of the Contract
- Assist in carrying out installation work involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works

Who are you?
- Previously worked within a maintenance environment
- Previous ventilation experience
- Prepared to work a flexible shift system including nights
- Recognised apprenticeship in relevant engineering discipline to City & Guilds level. (Desirable)
- Possess a current valid driving licence (Desirable)
- Previously worked within a healthcare maintenance environment (Desirable)
This role includes a DBS Standard check therefore ability to pass is essential.
