Senior Project Manager – Electrical

Equans Data Centers is seeking to appoint a Senior Project Manager – Electrical to support our growing Data Centre business.

Overview

We are committed to providing cutting‑edge solutions for our clients\’ data centre facilities and are recruiting a Senior Project Manager – Electrical to join our innovative team. The role involves managing a team and the electrical aspects of large projects from inception to completion, within set timescales, to high quality standards and within health and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team to ensure work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental and safety standards.
  • Be an expert and provide guidance and direction to ensure operational excellence.
  • Coordinate and control the on‑site construction process ensuring the site build progresses in line with plan.
  • Develop and agree electrical submission and approval process with the client and design team.
  • Support the overall programming and planning of the build.
  • Attend site meetings, effectively communicate and provide information for Progress Reports.
  • Chair and minute the subcontractor meetings.
  • Recording and reporting key metrics to team members and management.
  • Operational support including review of procedures, best practices and initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience working with a main contractor or large subcontractor.
  • Proven people management experience of managing teams.
  • Have the ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Proven technical knowledge of Electrical Services.
  • Knowledge and skills to effectively problem solve.
  • Be self‑motivated, with proven organisational ability and the drive to meet deadlines.
  • Customer focused with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
  • Attention to Health and Safety matters.
  • Commercially astute.
  • Experience in the data centres sector is desirable.
  • Degree of equivalent in an Electrical discipline is desirable.
