Equans is looking for an Administration Apprentice (PPM and Asset) to join our team at the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth. This is a Fixed Term Contract for 24 months on a full time basis working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.

As part of our Asset Management team, you will support the delivery of planned preventative maintenance, repairs, testing, and new installations across a wide range of hospital equipment, services, systems, and buildings. You will learn valuable skills while contributing to a professional, customer-focused FM function, supporting both internal teams and contracted service providers.

What will you deliver?

  • Assist in providing a 24/7 maintenance service for Portsmouth Hospitals University Trust within the service provider team.
  • Help coordinate planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities, ensuring optimal allocation of work, manpower, and resources.
  • Support the scheduling and completion of all Statutory and Mandatory inspections and maintenance.
  • Maintain and update statutory, contractual, and compliance records accurately.
  • Update the computerised maintenance management system (CAFM) and manual records.
  • Assist in producing operational and compliance reports as required.
  • Provide asset-related advice and support within core technical areas.
  • Promote excellent customer service to internal and external partners.
  • Collaborate effectively with support services teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain and develop knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and best practices, including health & safety regulations like COSHH.
  • Undertake additional reasonable duties as assigned by management.

Who are you?

  • Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent)
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word
  • Due to the nature of the contract, you will be required to obtain and maintain a DBS at Standard Level.
