Part time Cleaning Supervisor in North Shields

Equans is looking for a Part time Cleaning Supervisor to join our team in North Shields County Court, Kings Court, North Shields NE29 6AR on a permanent basis working 20 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £13,416.00 per annum and benefits package.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 14:00 - 18:00

What will you deliver?

Reporting to the facilities supervisor for HMCTS, the Cleaning Supervisor will be the lead for the cleaning teams for their HMCTS site.

Responsibilities

• To manage the standards to meet our contractual obligations
• To manage the standards by supporting in self-auditing
• To support in stock management/ordering
• To deliver toolbox talks
• To lead and motivate the cleaning team to enable contribution to the best of their ability and maximise their potential
• To organise cover for sickness/annual leave

Leading & Influencing

• Creates a positive working environment which encourages development and maximising the potential of all team members
• To lead by example and act as a hands-on trainer to ensure that cleaning methodologies are maintained in accordance with the contract
• Performance (both good and poor) is recognised and actioned appropriately

For this role you must undergo BPSS level vetting. Part of this includes DBS clearance therefore ability to pass is essential.

BPSS Quick Guide

In order to meet our customers' requirements, the post holder must go through Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). This is a form of Security Clearance set out by the Government which goes through several checks.

• Identity Verification: Passport, photo ID, birth certificate, etc.
• Employment History (past 3 years): Any gaps will require HMRC statements for the period in question.
• Right to Work Status in the UK: Citizenship or valid share code.
• Unspent Criminal Record: Disclosure of any unspent convictions.
• Significant Periods Abroad: Any periods of 6+ months spent abroad in the past 3 years.

Who are we looking for?

• Previous Cleaning experience
• Ideally BICS trained
• Experience in a leading role
• Excellent understanding of cleaning processes, materials, and equipment
