Project Manager - Mechanical in Newport, Wales

Equans Data Centers is seeking experienced Project Managers – Mechanical, to join our expanding team and support the delivery of cutting‑edge data center solutions in Newport, South Wales and across the UK.

What you will deliver:

• Leading on site mechanical construction activities from start to finish.
• Managing a team to ensure work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental and safety standards.
• Driving operational excellence and providing expert technical guidance.
• Coordinating and controlling the on‑site construction process to ensure the site build progresses in line with plan.
• Developing and agreeing electrical submission and approval processes with the client and design team.
• Supporting the overall programming and planning of the build.
• Attending site meetings, effectively communicating and providing information for Progress Reports.
• Chairing and minute the subcontractor meetings.
• Recording and reporting key metrics to team members and management.
• Reviewing procedures and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Fulfilling Health & Safety responsibilities by adhering to the Company’s Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety Management Plans.

Who are we looking for:

• Experience working with a main contractor or large subcontractor.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• In‑depth technical knowledge of Mechanical Services.
• Knowledge and skills to effectively problem‑solve.
• A keen desire to continually develop knowledge further.
• Self‑motivated, with proven organisational ability and a drive to meet deadlines.
• Customer‑focused with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Attention to Health and Safety matters.
• Commercially astute.
• Experience in the data centres sector is desirable.
• Degree or equivalent in a Mechanical discipline is desirable.
