Equans Data Centers is seeking experienced Project Managers – Mechanical, to join our expanding team and support the delivery of cutting‑edge data center solutions in Newport, South Wales and across the UK.
What you will deliver:
- Leading on site mechanical construction activities from start to finish.
- Managing a team to ensure work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental and safety standards.
- Driving operational excellence and providing expert technical guidance.
- Coordinating and controlling the on‑site construction process to ensure the site build progresses in line with plan.
- Developing and agreeing electrical submission and approval processes with the client and design team.
- Supporting the overall programming and planning of the build.
- Attending site meetings, effectively communicating and providing information for Progress Reports.
- Chairing and minute the subcontractor meetings.
- Recording and reporting key metrics to team members and management.
- Reviewing procedures and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Fulfilling Health & Safety responsibilities by adhering to the Company’s Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety Management Plans.

- Experience working with a main contractor or large subcontractor.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- In‑depth technical knowledge of Mechanical Services.
- Knowledge and skills to effectively problem‑solve.

- Self‑motivated, with proven organisational ability and a drive to meet deadlines.
- Customer‑focused with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Attention to Health and Safety matters.
- Commercially astute.
- Experience in the data centres sector is desirable.
- Degree or equivalent in a Mechanical discipline is desirable.
