EQUANS is recruiting for a Caretaker to join the team in Marsden Heights Community College, Edge End Ln, Nelson BB9 0PR. This is a permanent full‑time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £25,954.50 per annum and a benefits package.
Shift Times:
- Monday to Friday: 5:30 AM – 1:30 PM
- Monday to Friday (subject to change): either 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day to day management of the school premises with respect to caretaking services, together with establishing a close working relationship with the school and community groups.
- Ensure that all services are provided to a consistently high standard.
- Assist the Area Supervisor in meeting the requirements of the Project Agreement.
Requirements:
- Must undergo A DBS clearance; therefore the ability to pass is essential.
- Experience of providing general cleaning and security duties and basic maintenance of buildings and associated plant and systems.
- Experience of supervising the work of others.
- Possess good communication and customer care skills.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of health and safety principles.
- Able to organise and prioritise work to meet deadlines.
- Evidence of the right to work in the UK is required.
- Certain roles may require a Disclosure check.
